Luisa Hammett
Welcome to my portfolio. I will complete the graduate program in nutrition at Georgia State University in August 2015. Thanks to the knowledge and guidance obtained from this program, I have successfully matched to the dietetic internship program at Southern Regional Medical Center. I feel ready to begin my internship and start putting to use my nutrition knowledge. This portfolio has provided an opportunity for me to reflect on my experiences at Georgia State and to portray my passion for the field of nutrition. By reflecting on my work, I have identified my strengths and weaknesses, which will assist me in determining my career goals.
Through the completion of the Masters program, as well as this portfolio, I feel equipped to take what I have learned and experienced and apply it to my career as a dietitian. This portfolio contains five reflections and ten artifacts that I have chosen to reflect my experience and hard work in meeting the five learning outcomes of the graduate program. My philosophy statement provides an insight into my background in nutrition, my long and short-term goals, and where my interests in the field of nutrition lie going forward. It also includes my strengths and weaknesses that have shaped my ability in becoming a dietitian. All ten of the artifacts were chosen in order to document completion of the required five learning objectives and each reflection clarifies what I learned from completing the assignment.
